Warning Through Visions - Part 1

This is what the Lord GOD showed me (Amos): behold, he was forming locusts when the latter growth was just beginning to sprout, and behold, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings. When they had finished eating the grass of the land, I said,
        "O Lord GOD, please forgive!
     How can Jacob stand?
    He is so small!"
         The LORD relented concerning this:
    "It shall not be," said the LORD.

Amos 7:1-3 (ESV)

In the details of this vision, notice that to the king belonged the first harvest ("the king's mowings"); and after that, the farmer kept "the latter growth."

Applying the message God's mercy revealed in this vision, let me worship the King with the firstfruits of my life since He has recognized that I am "so small" and cannot stand before His judgment, and since He has forgiven me and "relented" from my destruction.

Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. James 1:18 (ESV)
